Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with an active MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS, offering night shifts and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 40-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other weekend is required
• Cerner is the charting system used; Cerner experience preferred
• Floating may be required within the nurse's scope based on unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Locals are accepted for this contract
• Scrubs of any color are permitted except for jeans; details provided for OR/PACU and case management roles
• Free parking is provided with further details during orientation
• Return staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Holiday coverage and finalized RTO must be submitted prior to contract signing; no additional RTO will be added afterward

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have 2-3 years of experience and Epic or Cerner experience
• Cerner experience preferred but not required
