Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position with open heart, neuro, and CRRT experience at a Chicago area hospital.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 30-bed mixed Surgical, Medical, and Neuro ICU
- Patient population includes open heart, neuro, and CRRT cases
- High-acuity ICU environment with exposure to CABG, stroke, TNK, and advanced critical care procedures
- Uses Epic EMR with experience required
- Night shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Floating to other units may be required if ICU census is low
- Provide comprehensive critical care to complex open heart, neuro, and critically ill patients
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed for holidays
- Holiday and weekend sick calls must be made up on the following weekend
- Local candidates accepted with same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required
- Workplace violence prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required and can be completed online
- Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience in relevant specialty required
- Experienced with CRRT, CABG, stroke management, and neuro ICU care
- Epic EMR experience required
