Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position with open heart, neuro, and CRRT experience at a Chicago area hospital.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 30-bed mixed Surgical, Medical, and Neuro ICU
• Patient population includes open heart, neuro, and CRRT cases
• High-acuity ICU environment with exposure to CABG, stroke, TNK, and advanced critical care procedures
• Uses Epic EMR with experience required
• Night shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating to other units may be required if ICU census is low
• Provide comprehensive critical care to complex open heart, neuro, and critically ill patients
• No RTO (requested time off) allowed for holidays
• Holiday and weekend sick calls must be made up on the following weekend
• Local candidates accepted with same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required
• Workplace violence prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required and can be completed online
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience in relevant specialty required
• Experienced with CRRT, CABG, stroke management, and neuro ICU care
• Epic EMR experience required
