Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Float Pool
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Float between multiple med/surg units as assigned by the Central Staffing Office
• Epic EMR is used and previous experience with Epic is required
• Competency testing is required; Med/Surg nurses with less than 2 years’ experience must pass testing within 2 attempts
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks from the last call out
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application
• Local candidates who live within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience is required
• Current AHA or RQI certifications are required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Only U.S. Social Security Numbers accepted (no Canadian SIN)
• Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is on file
