Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care environment, requiring a current NC or compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
• Care for patients requiring long-term medical and telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule, four 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope to like units based on facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• 66 staffed beds in the facility
• Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a long-term acute care setting
• Floating to similar units is expected as needed by the facility
• Must be gone for one year before returning as a traveler if previously employed with this health system
• Only two consecutive contracts allowed before a break of six months is required to return
• All requests for time off are at manager's discretion and must be indicated up front
• Block scheduling requests may be accommodated pending facility approval

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• At least one year of prior travel RN experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Evidence of prior LTAC or Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• Professional references from supervisors within the past two years required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
• Pending licenses not accepted
