Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care setting, requiring a current NC or compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long-term acute care hospital on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes long-term acute and med/surg telemetry cases
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts (7:00 to 19:00)
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Floating to like units within scope may be required
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Applicants who have previously worked at the facility must have a one-year break to return as a traveler
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• The system allows a maximum of two contracts; after two contracts, a six-month gap is required before returning
• Time off requests are subject to manager approval
• No on-call is required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
• Prior acute care and MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic charting experience preferred
