Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a long-term acute care setting requiring night shifts and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a long-term acute care hospital with 66 staffed beds
• Night shifts with a 4x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to similar units may be necessary based on facility needs
• Epic EMR is used for charting and documentation
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Team structure includes support for floating and cross-unit collaboration
• RTO requests are subject to manager discretion
• Holiday coverage may be required per hospital policy
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Previous ICU experience in a hospital or LTAC setting required
• Epic experience preferred
• Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year prior to applying as a traveler
• Candidates may only complete two consecutive contracts before a six-month break is required
