Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift role requiring Epic experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5 with goal of 1:4
• Floating within similar acuity units is expected
• Assignment length is flexible, ranging from 14 to 26 weeks based on candidate preference
• Unit assignment will be determined after clinical evaluation
• Uses Epic EMR and prior Epic experience is required
• Responsible for providing care to PCU level patients with telemetry monitoring
• Orientation and training tailored based on clinical evaluation and unit placement
• Travelers are part of a collaborative care team and expected to support patient care across units with similar acuity

Requirements

• Active VA or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Recent experience with Epic electronic medical records required
• At least two professional references needed for consideration
