Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a progressive care unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are currently 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
• Night shift schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45–07:15)
• Assignment length is flexible from 14 to 52 weeks, with 52 weeks and 4x12-hour shifts available by request
• Unit assignment will be determined by facility need after clinical evaluation
• All travelers are expected to float within their acuity as needed
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Provide care to progressive care/stepdown level patients with varied medical needs
• Team-based environment with flexible unit placement based on evaluation
• Assignment duration can be tailored to candidate preference, from 14 to 52 weeks

Requirements

• Active RN license from VA or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous PCU experience strongly preferred
• Two references needed for consideration
• Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
