Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient night shift assignment, requiring an IN or compact RN license and prior rehab or med/surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the rehab unit of a hospital
• Patient ratios range between 1:6 and 1:7, including charge nurse with a patient assignment
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to med/surg areas as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Responsible for preparing patients for morning therapy sessions
• Must be willing to float to other areas if not needed in rehab
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license (may be pending but must be active by start date)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous experience in rehab or med/surg required for first-time travelers
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Royal blue scrubs required
