Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MD or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes adolescents (Tanner score >4), adults, and geriatrics
Unit has 40 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
Common diagnoses include Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology cases
Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30)
Every other weekend required
Holiday coverage required as scheduled
Floating required within specialty and lower acuity units as needed
No on-call responsibilities
First-time travelers will be considered
Responsible for providing nursing care to Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
Holiday and weekend coverage is a requirement based on schedule

Requirements

Active MD RN or compact RN license required
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
Experience with Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology patient populations preferred
