Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a resource pool position requiring BLS, ACLS, Epic experience, and comfort floating between all ICU and PCU units.

Responsibilities

• Position is within a hospital resource pool covering ICU and PCU units
• Patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU and 5:1 for PCU
• Night shifts are 3x12 hours, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am, with a holiday work requirement
• Float to any ICU or PCU unit may occur every 4 hours based on hospital needs
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Staffing office will determine assignments for resource pool nurses every 4 hours
• Holiday coverage is required and no Christmas RTO can be approved
• Assignments can range from 13 to 52 weeks based on request
• Local traveler eligibility and pay rate is determined by distance from home address to facility

Requirements

• Active VA or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Recent experience in large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers is required
• Experience working in both ICU and PCU settings is required
• Must be able to provide two references at time of consideration
• Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required
