Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with an active IL license, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a Level II Trauma acute care hospital
• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:00 to 18:30
• 22-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on all shifts
• Floating within scope required as needed
• Will work weekends if needed for department coverage
• Uses Cerner for charting; experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling requests may be discussed with the manager
• RTO is ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Any solid color scrubs are permitted
• Free parking available with permit provided during orientation
• Team members may be required to float within their scope to meet patient care needs

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs required
• Dialysis experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
