Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of circulating experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and OR expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with four OR suites
• Ambulatory OR and general OR cases including Ortho, GYN, Urology, General, Cataracts, Pain injections, ENT, and OB
• Daily caseload of 5-10 surgical patients
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
• No scheduled weekend shifts
• Call rotation required with every 3rd weekend and 1-2 weekday on-call shifts as scheduled
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• Responsibilities include circulating for a variety of surgical specialties
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary surgical team
• Participation in call rotation including some weekend and weekday coverage
• Scrub attire per standard OR dress code
• Candidates with Altera EMR experience are preferred

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience with circulating duties, 3 years preferred
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Ambulatory OR and general OR experience required
• Experience with ENT, Endo, GYN, podiatry, and Ortho procedures preferred
• First time travelers will not be considered
