Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) night shift position requiring an active ME or compact RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work setting is a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital environment
- Patient population includes adult cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- Travelers may be required to work every other weekend as needed
- Applicants residing within 50 miles are considered local candidates
- Direct patient care provided under supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
- Facility may call off or cancel up to three shifts per 13-week assignment without penalty
- Travelers may only work two consecutive 13-week assignments per calendar year at the facility and must take a 26-week break before returning
- Recognized holidays include Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
- Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for travel assignment eligibility
- Dress code and additional orientation information will be provided upon assignment
Requirements
- Active ME or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- MOAB or CPI certification preferred
- Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and a collaborative team approach required
