Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification for 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Heart and Vascular Institute with 11 imaging rooms in a clinic setting
• Adult patient population required; pediatric experience is a bonus
• Perform routine and specialized cardiac imaging including 2D, strain imaging, TEE, and Stress Echo
• Average caseload of 8 outpatients and 6-8 inpatients per day
• Use PHILLIPS Cv-x and 7C equipment and chart in EPIC EMR
• Float required between the clinic and hospital settings
• Call coverage required 6 days/nights per month with weekend call rotation every 6-7 weeks
• 8 hour day shifts with weekend and holiday call as part of the rotation
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Permanent staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• 5-day orientation provided
• Collaborative team includes 17 additional sonographers, 14 cardiologists, RNs, and patient service representatives
• Black scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac sonography experience
• Current BLS and ARDMS or CCI-RCS required
• Associate’s degree (AAS) required
• Adult echo experience required
• Experience with EPIC EMR and PHILLIPS Cv-x and 7C equipment preferred
• License required if applicable
