Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma night shift role, requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma unit
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Care provided to post-surgical and trauma patients on General Surgery/Trauma B3 unit
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience with this system is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Travelers may only submit to one position at this facility
• Competency testing may be required, with up to two attempts to pass for MS applicants with less than 2 years experience
• All call outs beyond three in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
• Request for time off must be included at time of application

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in med-surg or general surgery/trauma nursing
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past year
• Must provide US Social Security Number (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Applicants from specified local counties within a 50 mile radius are ineligible
