Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current NY license and Epic EMR experience for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Patient population consists of surgical patients requiring perioperative care
• Shift is from 07:00 to 19:30, day shifts only
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Competency testing may be required, with two attempts allowed to pass
• Requests for time off must be included at the time of submission
• No local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties within a 50-mile radius
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract will result in termination; makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Candidates may only submit to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Current AHA or RQI-certified BLS (and other unit-required certifications)
• Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required unless exempt for medical reasons with proper documentation
