Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in a Level 1 Trauma hospital requiring at least one year of nursing experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the inpatient float pool of a hospital ICU setting
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Five shifts per week with 8-hour shifts
• Care for patients with complex medical needs and trauma cases
• Responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical nursing care to ICU patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and update patient care plans
• Engage patients and families in the care process and discharge planning
• Participate in ongoing professional development and unit improvement activities
• Expected to follow all hospital and nursing standards for safe and effective patient care
• Lab-based drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of assignment commitment

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by North Carolina or a compact state
• At least one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Must have recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
