Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position in a Level 1 Trauma hospital float pool with night shifts and NC or compact license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work within the inpatient float pool of a hospital, assigned to the Progressive Care Unit
• Patient population includes complex cases requiring progressive care in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Floating required as part of the inpatient float pool
• Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for complex patient needs
• Teamwork environment with collaboration among interdisciplinary team members
• Required to participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Expect to follow all safety and infection control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
• Assigned duties may involve providing patient and family education tailored to developmental and cultural needs

Requirements

• Active RN license for North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of one year nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
