Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position on a 24-bed secured unit with at-risk patients, requiring a MO or compact license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit focusing on at-risk patients
• Secured unit with enhanced safety features including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entrance
• Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floats required as needed
• EMR is Cerner; prior experience is preferred but not required
• Unit is designed for enhanced security and at-risk patient care
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• CPI Blue Card required for Behavioral Health RNs and LCSW; course can be completed onsite if needed
• Requested time off must be submitted with application
• Schedule may be discussed during interview (option for 36 or 48 hrs/week)

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience
• Trauma I experience preferred
• Must provide two professional references
• 75-mile radius rule applies; locals accepted at a reduced rate
