Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 18 months of Level 1 trauma and surgical experience and current ARRT and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level 1 trauma center supporting 30+ ORs, 6 ICUs, a 70+ bed ER, and approximately 700 inpatient beds
- Primary setting is the X-Ray Tech unit, performing imaging in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, ER, and OR cases
- Utilizes GE and Siemens imaging equipment
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Cerner charting system is used and required
- Potential for floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Expect to participate in trauma and surgical cases, supporting a large and diverse inpatient and ER population
- Required to make up missed shifts within the contract period if called in sick or absent
- Holiday coverage includes working 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved
- Former employees must have been separated for 12 months before being eligible for travel positions
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent X-Ray technologist experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Active ARRT and BLS certification required (AHA and RQI accepted; must be current)
- Experience with extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax imaging, ER and OR procedures, and C-Arm equipment
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Associate degree from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE)
- IN or Compact license required prior to the start date, or license pending with expected issue within 2 weeks
- License required if applicable
