Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position with flexible shifts and multi-certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population
• Provides care for patients of all ages in a rural, culturally rich setting
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends
• 13-week contract assignment
• Shared staff housing may be available at an additional cost; no family or pets allowed in housing
• Orientation provided every two weeks
• COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted with appropriate declination forms
• Work environment is rural with a diverse and collaborative healthcare team
• Must submit housing application at least two weeks prior to start if interested in facility housing

Requirements

• Active RN license from any state or compact state; must be currently active
• Minimum of 3 years recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA
• Certification in NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC required (some may be acquired within first year of employment)
• Must complete Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within 3 months of hire
• Must complete Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
• Fingerprinting required prior to start
