Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Coronary Care Unit position in a Cardiac ICU setting with night shifts and advanced cardiac care requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital environment
- Care provided to cardiac patients, overflow patients from Medical ICU, RRT distress patients, and other critical cardiac diagnoses
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit
- Utilizes Epic electronic medical record system
- Duties include caring for high acuity cardiac and critically ill patients
- Must function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced environment
- Holiday coverage is required based on unit needs
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where restricted by radius rules
Requirements
- Active RN license in MD or compact state required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience in a level II trauma center
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EMR system required
- Experience in facilities with 500 or more beds is necessary
