Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Coronary Care Unit position in a Cardiac ICU setting with night shifts and advanced cardiac care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital environment
• Care provided to cardiac patients, overflow patients from Medical ICU, RRT distress patients, and other critical cardiac diagnoses
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit
• Utilizes Epic electronic medical record system
• Duties include caring for high acuity cardiac and critically ill patients
• Must function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced environment
• Holiday coverage is required based on unit needs
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where restricted by radius rules

Requirements

• Active RN license in MD or compact state required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience in a level II trauma center
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Epic EMR system required
• Experience in facilities with 500 or more beds is necessary
