Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience, active NH or compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position is in a 34-bed Same Day Surgery PACU unit
Patient population includes pre and post-op recovery for gyn, ortho, plastics, vascular, cardiology, and general surgeries
Patient ratio is 1:2 for phase one recovery
No on-call or weekend requirements
Shifts vary with hours from 6:00am – 4:30pm, 7:00am – 5:30pm, and 8:00am – 6:30pm
Responsible for providing pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgeries
No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 75-mile radius
Must maintain an active license throughout the assignment

Requirements

Active NH or compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
PALS certification preferred
Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
