Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring recent trauma experience and proficiency with Cardizem and Amiodarone.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 39-bed, mixed-acuity hospital setting specializing in medical, surgical, and stepdown care
  • Patient population ranges from elderly to adults as young as 18
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1 depending on patient acuity
  • 12-hour day shifts, 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Rotating holiday coverage is required
  • Manage care for a mixed medical, surgical, and stepdown patient group
  • Holiday and weekend shifts are part of the scheduling rotation
  • First-time travelers are not mentioned, so prior travel experience is preferred

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license with proof of state residency
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Med/Surg experience
  • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
  • Experience with Cardizem and Amiodarone administration required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • No local candidates permitted; must live outside a 75-mile radius
