Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Electrophysiology Technologist with at least 1 year of EP Lab experience and required certifications for 12-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 dedicated EP labs and 5 total cath labs
- Volume includes 6-10 EP procedures daily and up to 20 cases total per day
- Patient population primarily includes arrhythmia evaluations, AFib, Aflutter, SVT, PVC, VT, and device procedures such as pacemakers, ICDs, EV-ICDs, lead extractions, and Watchman devices
- Procedures supported include both ablations and cardiac device implants
- Uses Epic (CUPID) EMR; experience with Picom (PACS) and Merge (hemodynamics) preferred
- Equipment includes Philips Azurion and GE Alea C-arms; experience not required
- Day shift schedule with hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, no weekends and no call requirement
- Unit is part of a Level II Trauma Center with a team-oriented, patient-centered culture
- Duties include assisting with ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and SVT ablations as well as comprehensive device procedures
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality procedural environment
- Expected to operate and troubleshoot EP-specific equipment including mapping systems, stimulators, and ablation generators
- Participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- New employee orientation provided during first week, with 3-5 shifts of intra-departmental training
- Hospital-issued scrubs and lead provided
- Holiday shifts not required as department is closed for holidays
- Up to 7 days of RTO allowed with contract extension as approved by nurse manager
- Free parking available in badge-access lots and on street
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Current WA State Radiologic Technologist (RT), RCIS, or RN license required if applicable
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience supporting EP procedures (ablations and device implants), and ability to scrub and operate table simultaneously
- Proficiency in monitoring, scrubbing, circulating, and equipment operation during EP and device cases
- Experience with Epic (CUPID) required; Picom (PACS) and Merge (hemodynamics) experience preferred

This is for L&D specifically. The unit is very travel friendly. Good ratios (they try to follow AWHONN standards). You do get breaks. Staff overall welcoming and kind. Midwives do some of the births here.

No self scheduling anymore. Res/fellows are family medicine not OB.
