Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active IL license and on-call participation.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management departments within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- On-call rotation assigned weekly, Monday through Friday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays
- Occasional weekend day shifts required, as well as every other weekend coverage
- Mandatory floating to Radiology, Pain Management, and other units within scope as needed
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
- EMR system is Cerner; prior experience preferred but not required
- Staff are required to wear lead aprons during procedures
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and pain management procedures
- Must be willing to float to any assigned facility or department within a 50-mile radius as operationally required
- Maximum of 5 days time off allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no time off before, after, or on holidays, and no weekend time off approved
- Strict adherence to compliance requirements, including timely completion of lab work post-offer
- Scrub color is navy blue and is not provided by the facility
- Team-based support model in place when nurses are floated outside their main competency area
- Proof of COVID vaccination required for employment consideration
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending licensure not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications needed: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility
- COVID vaccine required prior to start; booster not required
