Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a heart and stroke unit with day shifts and a current, active AL or compact RN license required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in heart and stroke patients
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
- Care for adult patients with cardiac and neurological conditions
- Meditech EMR is used, experience preferred but not required
- Patient care involves monitoring for cardiac and stroke-related complications
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
- Local candidates are accepted with no mile radius restrictions
- No HealthStream modules required prior to start
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered AL or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or stroke care
- No past or current disciplinary actions or 'hits' on nursing licenses
- Proof of required documents including state or compact license, skills checklist, and two recent references
