Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a heart and stroke unit with day shifts and a current, active AL or compact RN license required.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in heart and stroke patients
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
Care for adult patients with cardiac and neurological conditions
Meditech EMR is used, experience preferred but not required
Patient care involves monitoring for cardiac and stroke-related complications
Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
Local candidates are accepted with no mile radius restrictions
No HealthStream modules required prior to start

Requirements

Active, unencumbered AL or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or stroke care
No past or current disciplinary actions or 'hits' on nursing licenses
Proof of required documents including state or compact license, skills checklist, and two recent references
