Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with current NMT certification and at least 2 years of experience for a local contract position.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine unit
Day shift schedule: Wednesdays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements, though occasional floating to other locations may occur if census is low
Patient population includes individuals undergoing nuclear imaging procedures
Epic EMR experience is preferred
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical dosages and operate imaging equipment safely
Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance to anxious or uncomfortable individuals
Maintain imaging equipment and uphold safety standards
Modules for orientation are required and completed through e-learning
Only one holiday RTO will be approved during assignment
Returning staff may apply if separated for at least one year
Must disclose any background hits or DUIs before consideration

Requirements

Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification
Valid CA license required if applicable
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Copy of certifications required, all certs must be AHA and in hand for consideration
Must be locally based within a 50-mile radius
Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance
