Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience and Oasis proficiency for a day shift home health assignment in the West Portland, OR area.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting covering West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Caseload consists of up to 6 home health visits per day, with a 30-point productivity standard
- Visits are 1:1 with patients
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Use of Epic Remote Client and Rover app for charting; Oasis documentation required
- System strives to group client visits to minimize driving; maximum daily travel radius is approximately 60 miles
- Locals accepted within 50-75 mile radius at same rate
- Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and delivering occupational therapy services to home health patients
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Business casual attire or scrubs permitted, but jeans are not allowed
- Free parking is provided and mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard rates
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers, and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- No block scheduling is available and floating between facilities within the state may be required
- Pre-assignment modules are required and must be completed before start
- Requested time off must be discussed during the hiring process; minimal RTO is preferred
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year skilled home health experience required
- Current BCLS certification required
- Epic and Oasis documentation experience required
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Two supervisory references from the last three years in a comparable setting required
- Pending license accepted
