Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and active OK or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Adult PACU unit of a hospital setting
Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week
Cares for adult post-anesthesia patients with varying acuity
No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Administers medications, monitors IV infusions and blood products, and documents patient responses to interventions
Performs ongoing physiological assessment and interventions with post-anesthesia patients
Works collaboratively with physicians, support staff, and engages in discharge planning with patients and families
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Requirements

Active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact (eNLC) RN license
Minimum of one year of PACU or related nursing experience
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
