Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with night shifts, caring for high-risk patients and requiring at least two years of recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with a focus on high-risk pregnancies
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
• Night shifts available as 3x12 or 4x12 hours (6:45pm–7:15am)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to sister units within scope
• Unit uses Epic EMR
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Position involves providing comprehensive care for laboring and postpartum mothers, including infant resuscitation and transition
• All required modules must be completed prior to start
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted but receive a reduced pay rate
• Holiday and block scheduling requests must be approved based on unit needs
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application and must be approved
• Free parking available on site
• Candidates may be required to participate in hospital emergency response during hurricane season (June–November)

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required and must be in hand before start
• Minimum two years of recent L&D experience, including infant catch and transition
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Experience with LDRP settings preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• SSN and valid Driver’s License required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least one year
