Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for an 8-hour day shift assignment with on-call requirements and broad surgical specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the operating room of an acute care hospital
• Care for both adult and pediatric surgical populations
• Perform circulating duties for general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma cases
• Day shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with 5x8-hour shifts per week
• On-call required: one weekday per week minimum and rotating weekend call
• Call shifts are Monday through Friday 3:30 pm to 7:00 am, and Saturday/Sunday 7:00 am to 7:00 am
• RN will function primarily as a circulator in a fast-paced environment
• Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule including weekdays and weekends
• Requests for time off must be less than one week
• No interviews will be conducted; position offers are made automatically
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years' recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Experience with adult and pediatric surgical cases required
• Experience with general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma procedures required
• No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Former permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
