Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor and Delivery position working weekend night shifts with BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery setting
• Patient population includes women in labor, postpartum, and newborns
• Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Assignment length is 12 weeks
• Responsible for providing safe and evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients and newborns
• Works closely with interdisciplinary health care team and supervises support staff
• Must communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers
• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
• Locals accepted as there is no radius rule mentioned

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required and in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Acute care nursing experience preferred
• Basic computer and technical nursing skills required
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
