Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of diagnostic and screening mammography experience for an acute outpatient imaging setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute outpatient imaging center covering mammography
• May float among four outpatient breast imaging centers within 15 minutes of each other
• Day shifts, 4x10s from 07:15 to 17:45 with occasional Saturday shifts per contract needs
• Average of 18 mammograms performed daily
• Procedures include diagnostic and screening mammography, with wire localization and biopsy as needed
• Equipment includes Hologic, DEXA (GE), PACS-Sectra, EPIC, and Penrad mammography EMR
• Radiologist on site for all contrast and procedure examinations
• No IV starts required
• No call or holiday requirements
• Responsibilities include performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms, wire localization, and participating in biopsy procedures
• Radiology supervisor and lead tech support available at each location
• Prior DEXA experience is a plus
• Assignment location will be provided in advance of each shift
• 12 hours of orientation will be provided
• Scrubs/dress code information will be supplied prior to start
• May be required to float between local centers per assignment needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in diagnostic and screening mammography
• Active ARRT (Mammography) and BLS certifications required
• COVID vaccine required
• Experience with Hologic, DEXA, and outpatient imaging equipment preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC, PACS-Sectra, and Penrad systems preferred
• License required if applicable
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
