Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Circulate and Scrub skills and a GA or compact RN license for an adult and geriatric OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Main Operating Room handling General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal cases
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Sixteen ORs with an average daily census of 35 cases
• Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis systems, and 2 Davinci XI robots
• Day shifts (3x12 hours), 6:30 to 19:00
• Rotating weekends and rare floating requirements
• On-call required: 7-8 calls in a 6 week period, plus 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend shifts
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrub attire is provided by the facility
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO); RTO is not allowed during the first week of assignment and is not allowed during Spring Break
• Holiday coverage is required based on the assignment period and facility policy
• Perm or PRN staff must have a 1 year break from all Piedmont facilities before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift in the same unit
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Onboarding may be delayed by two weeks if compliance is not met in time for orientation

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Circulate and Scrub experience required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis preferred
• References from two supervisory RN managers or above are required
• Must be fully compliant with all onboarding requirements prior to start
