Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patient diagnoses include general med/surg, peritoneal dialysis, and recovery for radial bands (no PCI)
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend is required
• No call or on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Full compliance with facility requirements is necessary to begin assignment on time
• Up to 7 days of requested time off is allowed, but not during the first week of assignment
• If one major holiday falls during the assignment, you are expected to work it; if two fall, you must work both; if three, you must work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• No travel pairs assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Return travelers unable to return to one Piedmont facility must complete a successful assignment outside of Piedmont before rebooking at any Piedmont location

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent med/surg experience
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Two supervisory references (manager or above) required for consideration
• Cannot have been employed in a permanent or PRN role at any Piedmont facility within the past year
