Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least one year of recent MS/Tele experience and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Must complete either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Recent use of Epic EMR preferred but not required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• All requested time off must be included prior to consideration; RTO requested after submission will not be accommodated
• Attendance policy enforces review or cancellation for more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation
• Pass/fail cardiac dysrhythmia test required on first day of orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
• Block scheduling is not accommodated

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license, or pending license to be obtained before starting
• Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele experience required; 2 years preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI
• Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day
• Must be able to shave for fit testing if required
