Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a 34-bed unit with telemetry and night shift requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position is based on a 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5-7
• Night shift schedule of either 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend coverage required, typically 3 weekends per 4-week period
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Perform nursing duties for adult medical-surgical patients including telemetry care
• No scrubs provided; candidates must supply their own
• Strict attendance policy allowing only 2-3 call offs per contract
• Extensions possible upon successful completion of initial contract

Requirements

• Active WV or compact state RN license required
• Current BCLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• No prior travel experience required
