Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position working night shifts with a 1:6-1:7 ratio and requiring recent travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shifts available (3x12s or 4x12s, 7:00pm-7:00am)
• Patient ratios are typically 1:6-1:7
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities is expected
• Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• Pre-start modules must be completed as part of onboarding
• Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year prior to returning as a traveler
• RTO (time off) must be submitted at the time of application and will be approved based on facility needs
• Travelers should be aware of hurricane season policies for emergency response team assignment
• Free parking is provided on-site

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Prior travel RN experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certified)
• Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred
• Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date
• Drivers license and SSN are required for consideration
