Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN for night shifts, requiring an active NY RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital critical care float pool setting
• Float between all ICU units, including neuro and surgical ICU
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Patient assignment may vary by unit needs
• Use of EPIC EMR is required
• Flu vaccination is required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted
• RTO (time off) requests must be submitted with application
• Call-outs exceeding three within a thirteen week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts are mandatory within six weeks
• Travelers cannot live within 50 miles of specified counties near the facility
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
• Travel pairs are not allowed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent critical care experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI (such as BLS, ACLS) are required
• Demonstrated experience using EPIC EMR system
• Successful completion of ICU competency testing within two attempts
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required
