Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with mixed PCU and med-surg patients, requiring schedule flexibility and EPIC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit with mixed acuity including progressive care and medical-surgical patients
• Patient ratios are 1:5
• Care for adult and oncology patients, though oncology experience is preferred but not required
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Work schedule may include day and night shifts or a rotating combination as determined by departmental staffing needs
• No set schedule or guaranteed weekends; flexibility to work varying shifts including potential for every weekend
• Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• First week is Monday through Friday dayshift orientation, followed by on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Responsibilities include caring for mixed acuity patients on a busy MS/Tele floor
• Self-scheduling requests are collected before the final schedule is posted, but flexibility is essential
• Team members may perform care for oncology populations
• Orientation includes both classroom and on-unit training with a preceptor
• No block scheduling is available and the facility determines final shift assignments

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• IV starts, telemetry skills, and tracheostomy management required
• Previous travel experience is preferred, not required
