Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position working night shifts with adults and geriatrics, requiring prior travel experience and an AZ or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a stepdown transitional care unit in a hospital setting
• 30-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient population
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 or 1:4
• Care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, CABG pod 2, acute respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, and EXLIF
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses Medhost EHR system
• Care for a diverse patient population with complex cardiac, respiratory, and surgical conditions
• First-time travelers are not eligible for the position
• Typical team includes IMC RNs and support staff
• Dress code and scrub color not specified
• No references required at the time of consideration

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of IMC or equivalent stepdown experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• EHR experience with Medhost preferred
• Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Permanent address must be at least 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere
• COVID vaccination card required
• RQI certifications are not accepted
