Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of Level I or II trauma and OR experience for an 18-week hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic radiology department serving ER, OR, and inpatient settings
• Patient population includes both young and geriatric individuals
• Assigned primarily to ER or OR and responsible for portable imaging
• Utilizes GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner systems
• Shift is Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 11:30pm with every other weekend required
• No on-call required and no block scheduling
• Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Performs radiologic procedures as ordered, prepares rooms and equipment, and ensures adherence to radiation protection standards
• Responsible for patient education, exam preparation, and documentation in both medical and radiology information systems
• May select and administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patient reactions
• Expected to support and train new hires or students as needed
• Completion of online training modules is required prior to assignment start
• Must comply with hospital infection control and safety policies
• Scrub attire as appropriate to the department required
• All RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed up front; post-offer requests handled by management

Requirements

• Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience in a hospital, including Level I or II trauma and OR experience
• ARRT certification in Radiography or registry-eligible with registration required within 6 months of hire
• Current AHA BCLS certification required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Experience using mobile X-ray, GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner
• Ability to occasionally lift and move more than 10 lbs
• COVID-19 vaccination required
