Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with current ARRT (R), BLS, and OR imaging experience to join a Level II trauma center team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Diagnostic Radiology department affiliated with a Level II trauma center
• Responsibilities cover fixed and mobile radiographic imaging in settings such as inpatient, OR, and ER
• Specialized procedures include neuro and vascular cases, percutaneous fusions, and O-Arm use
• Four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with every third weekend rotation
• On-call required for weekends and midnight shifts
• No blocked scheduling; schedule is not negotiable
• Possibility to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Perform diagnostic imaging according to physician orders and department protocols
• Independently determine radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices
• Explain procedures to patients, obtain appropriate histories, and monitor for adverse reactions during studies
• May be required to select and administer IV contrast and provide immediate care for reactions
• Follow radiation protection standards and infection control procedures
• Participate in patient care activities to ensure safety, privacy, and comfort
• Support onboarding and training of new hires or students as needed
• Complete online onboarding modules with passing scores prior to start date
• Team members are expected to demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and customer service values
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests require manager discussion

Requirements

• Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years radiology technologist experience
• ARRT (R) and AHA-approved BLS certifications required
• High school diploma or GED and completion of required continuing education hours
• Demonstrated OR imaging experience with neuro, vascular, percutaneous fusions, and O-Arm procedures
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move equipment and/or patients in excess of 10 lbs
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
