Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45-7:15)
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Floating to other units is required
• Every other weekend work is required
• Uses Epic charting system
• The position is open to first-time travelers
• Vaccination exemptions must be submitted within 48 hours of acceptance
• Pre-assignment online modules are required prior to start and take up to 3 hours
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment

Requirements

• Active IL RN license is required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must pass EKG strip test during orientation
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off
