Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum position requiring NC or compact licensure and strong perinatal skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• Care for mothers and newborns throughout the perinatal period, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
• Night shift position, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Duties include providing comprehensive, population-specific care for mothers and infants
• Responsibilities involve patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
• Works closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and support discharge planning
• Must attend required educational programs and participate in ongoing professional development
• Expected to report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• Maintains a safe, clean, and secure environment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school required
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and triage OB cases
