Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound/Echo Tech proficient in both ultrasound and echocardiography, with required certification and North Dakota licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a radiology department with a 25-bed hospital setting
- Performs a broad range of ultrasound procedures including OB, pelvic, abdominal, breast, carotid, extremity vascular, segmental pressure, ABI imaging, biopsies, para and thoracentesis
- New procedures include radiofrequency ablation for venous insufficiency
- Echocardiography skills preferred but not mandatory
- Uses Ectra PACS, Epic EMR, Philips Epiq 7G, GE Ligiq E9, and CorVascular Falcon Pro equipment
- Variable day shifts, with weekend call-in check every other weekend in rotation with current ultrasound tech
- Possible floating to X-ray and CT if appropriately skilled
- Department provides hospital and orientation training
- Weekend call-in requires techs to check for overnight or weekend cases and respond as needed
- Scrubs are required
- Duties include assisting with biopsies and participating in new venous insufficiency procedures
- Team rotation for weekend coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ultrasound/echo experience
- ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification required
- BLS required
- Must hold or obtain North Dakota state licensure prior to employment
- Must be proficient in both ultrasound and echocardiography
- License required if applicable
