Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift Operating Room position requiring Epic experience and orthopedic trauma skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Works primarily with orthopedic trauma, craniotomy, and trauma cases at a Level II trauma facility
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• On-call required: two weeknights every six weeks and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour shifts, days or nights) every month and a half
• 75-mile radius rule for eligibility; locals not accepted
• First-time travelers welcome if they meet the 3-year experience requirement
• Maximum of 7 total days of requested time off permitted during the 13-week assignment
• Must submit proof of address to confirm compliance with the 75-mile radius rule

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing; pending licenses considered on a case-by-case basis
• Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proven skills in orthopedic trauma, craniotomy, and trauma procedures
• Level II trauma experience required
