Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least two years of recent PCU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Provides care for patients requiring progressive monitoring and support
• Night shifts available, working either 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Floating to other units within the hospital is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Orientation begins on Sundays and includes online modules
• RNs will participate in supporting and educating nursing students alongside clinical care responsibilities
• Must complete 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• Holiday coverage and flexibility for hospital census needs are expected
• No local candidates will be accepted per the 100-mile radius rule

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of two years of recent PCU experience is required
• Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and AHA ACLS
• Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
• First-time travelers are accepted
